We don;t ahve a lot of spare money to spend on stocking up and prepping; sometimes I think MrLAIC would rather spend it in the surplus shop (not *another* compass ) than on food.........
What I have found,t hough, is that the value ranges of food are good for price, albeit a limited range. Sainsbury is particularly good for their basic range I think, especially the tins, so I buy a few of them when I do venture in there. Quite often it's nto stuff I would buy for usual shopping, but will be fine in an emergency. A lot fo theri stuff is cheaper (and better) than Lidl, I've found, and you are supporting a British shop with yourpurchasing power.
