Oh picked up on a snippet on the news that sugar is going to rise dramatically in price and very soon, but I can;t find much more on it so far. This will obviously have an impact on brewing and preserving, so I really need to look into it all. How long will sugar store in good conditions? Alternatives?  I know I can use golden syrup for beer, but that's about all I know. Must do better.
Anyone got any sugar info?

I thought as sugar was preservative in itself, it will keep in the right conditions long term? I had a look at some stored sugar I have and couldn't see a use by date but might have missed it somewhere. I always have a lot of sugar in the store cupboard but will see if I can sneak more past Mr CK when we go shopping Wink .
