He's been on a water meter for quite soem time now, and is completely up together on his water usage, rainwater harvesting, etc. he warms water in the greenhouses for washing adn shaving, carries it upstairs to flush the loo, has a bath in 6" (after his OH  ) , has a huge number of water butts, he's got it sussed. He came to visit the other day, and has re-enthused me on the water front - so to speak.
In return for this encouragement, I gave him some knittd socks and made him taste my homemade mature cheddar
