thats my biggest downfall, i use the freezer for a lot of preped stuff most fruits are jammed , but think i need to start bottling some fruits and tomatoes really would be a good idea, somthing i need to really look into and make a few investments in proper preserving/bottling jars. pickling is fine but you cant cook pickles

I'm looking into dry storage too - sand boxes, clamps, etc, root cellaring (to use the US term); wary of rodents, though. Ideally, I'd like a store room inside the house. Wonder when DD is moving out?
"You have to leave home now, I have 14 cases of toilet paper and 43 dozen tins of tomatoes coming next Thursday.........." Poor child, passed over for that........... |

She didn't much when I told her; more a resigned "I was expecting that, but not so soon......." expression.
Tee hee.
